Amira Ink!

Lots 'o creativity in one little blog! Illustration, design, fan art, animation, etc. I know a lot of it right now is Avatar and LoK fan art, but what can I say - it inspires me and makes me want to draw. Plus I get these things in my head and I have to put them on paper. :D

I am a huge an of Avatar: the Last Airbender, Miyazaki, Pixar, and Dreamworks. Have been getting into comics, manga, graphic novels, and anime lately. Any recommendations are always appreciated.

I am also battling Lyme Disease and have issues with my drawing hand, so still being able to draw and create means a lot to me.

“I Will Feel the Earth Again”

At the end of “Turning the Tides” Lin Beifong loses her earthbending. It is something that defines her. I could totally imagine her finding a quiet place and reconnecting with her element. At least if nothing else, to make a promise to herself that she will bend again.

This piece was sketched in Autodesk SketchbookPro and painted using SketchbookPro, Painter, and Photoshop. MacbookPro/Cintiq.

Lin (and Tenzin) are my favorite characters from the show. I love Lin’s design and she has these amazing, intense eyes and wanted to capture that.

I just had to draw her in a sparkly dress. I love costume and fashion design. This dress is sleek and shiny (like metal).

(Actually I think this happened because I had gone to see Skyfall the day before.)
